Proclamation No. 247, issued by Malacañang in September 2002, declared the month of September of every year as Development Policy Research Month (DPRM). It highlights the critical role of policy research in the socioeconomic advancement of the Philippines.
The observance of the DPRM is intended to cultivate a strong culture of research and use of data and evidence among the country's national and local decisionmakers in policymaking and program planning. Through the different topics highlighted in every DPRM celebration, this event also aims to raise the public's literacy of important socioeconomic issues.
Join our virtual forum on September 2 to herald the start of the 19th Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) with the theme, “Reset and Rebuild for a Better Philippines in the Post-Pandemic World”. Our panelists from various sectors will share their insights on how to promote ethical business and green and inclusive recovery and develop a robust and healthy workforce to rebuild the country into a post-pandemic nation that is equitable, sustainable, and resilient.

The Annual Policy Policy Conference (APPC) is the highlight and culminating activity of the DPRM. Started in 2015, it convenes foreign and local experts, researchers, policymakers, and representatives from government, private sector, and civil society in an evidence-based discourse of current and emerging development issues. This year's APPC on "Reset and Rebuild for a Better Philippines in the Post-Pandemic World" will be conducted virtually through a four-part webinar series on September 14, 16, 21, and 23, from 9:00 am - 11:30 am (GMT+8).
